Produce, Ants, and Rain
A gallery from the past week and a half!
Hello!
There’s really no unifying theme to this gallery, so I’ll get straight to the pictures!
First: here is a coconut. It’s a small coconut, and it’s full of coconut water, which I knew was a popular drink in places that have coconuts (and also in the juice section of US grocery stores). When we walked into the supermarket in Barva last week, though, I was so excited to find this Coquito coconut with its own straw already included! It’s taped on to the outside, and you just jab it into the top so you can immediately start drinking.
I don’t think I love coconut juice, but I would love it if all fruits were packaged this way. It’s minimal waste and very fun.
Also see: aloe vera juice on the left (good, but unexpectedly grape flavored), eggs, orange juice (not like most kinds at home, tastes like Sunny D), and tortillas.
