First: The Volcano

And volcanic coffee!

Matthew came to visit last weekend, and we did some cool stuff! He gave me a vague list of things he wanted to see (a beach, a volcano maybe, the rainforest), and we turned that into a busy weekend plan! :)

I have quite a few pictures, so I think I will split this into two parts as well. This first one will be basically what we did all of Friday the weekend he was here!

The main goal on Friday was to see a volcano. Given how many active volcanoes are in this West-Virginia-sized country, it’s not too hard to get to one—but it is often hard to see the crater of one at this time of year.

Because it’s rainy season and they’re pretty high up, this is what they look like a lot of the time:
